KIRTIPUR HOSPITAL (Proposed PUSHPALAL MEDICAL COLLEGE AND TEACHING HOSPITAL)
Though the Kirtipur Hospital was formally established in 2006, after the successful People’s Movement, phent-NEPAL used to organise a community health development program (CHDP) under the Kathmandu Model Hospital (KMH) in the then Kirtipur Village Development Committee. Now, Kirtipur Hospital is running as a full-fledged one-hundred-bed hospital with various specialties services. phect-NEPAL has the vision to establish a 300-bed General Hospital with many specialty and super-specialty services. Burn and Plastic is one of the super-specialty services of KPH at present.
Since the KPH is a community teaching hospital, it has introduced many different types of services at free or subsidized rates, particularly for the benefit of the poor and vulnerable.
The KPH also receives interns, fellows, and trainees from different universities and academies within the country and abroad. The Kirtipur Hospital has been closely working in collaboration with the Kirtipur Municipality. The Hospital provides the following preventive, and curative services stop its service-holders:
